The Mountaineers is a solo project by Hull based music producer Lucy Giles. Over the years vast amounts of music has been made and recorded at home in the back bedroom of many dwellings. From beginnings writing teenage angst music on an acoustic guitar, to singing in a punk rock band then to singing and writing in a twisted electro pop duo. The style has taken on many forms up to the point we are at today with the instrumental musings of The Mountaineers. This is the place Lucy feels most at home. Not caring what others think and finally producing something for the ears of anyone who wants to listen, not creating something that they think everyone would want to listen to.   It makes for a better sound and willingness to create.
